CPMBT or Congenital Postero Medial Bowing of Tibia is a rare condition in which children present at birth with a severe deformity. The deformity gradually resolves but shortening slowly and surely increases. Our experience leads us to believe that early lengthening has a lot of benefits. We have one of the largest experiences in the world in the treatment of this condition.

Over the last 29 years our center has performed dozens of surgeries to increase height in Achondroplastic Dwarf patients by extensive lengthening using Ilizarov and newer methods. A poster presentation of this experience in the Indian Orthopaedic Association annual conference in 2017 won the Gold Medal for the best Poster.
