Welcome to the Microvascular Surgery Center at CFIT India.
Just like Ilizarov techniques, Microvascular surgery is an Open ended vastly useful set of techniques which allows countless applications in various difficult clinical situations. It may be Bone loss or soft tissue loss after trauma or poor vascularity after AVN of the hip, Microvascular surgery has a stellar role to play.
We started Microvascular surgery at our institute in 1994, after its Director, Dr Mrs Punam Chaudhary visited the Raymond Curtis Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore Md. Thereafter Dr Milind Chaudhary trained with Dr Harry Buncke ( father of Microvascular Surgery) at California Pacific Medical Center at San Francisco in 1998. Since then, further training at the J&J Center in Mumbai and at Ganga Hospital at Coimbatore has helped Dr Mrs Chaudhary hone her skills.
We offer three types of Microvascular surgeries
- Free Flap for soft tissue cover after Compound Fractures
- Free Vascularized Fibular Grafting for Avascular Necrosis(AVN) of the Hip
- Vasclarized tissue transfer in the treatment of difficult NonUnions
